Salt Spray

Salt spray testing is performed under strict adherence to the test parameter requirements of ASTM B117. Past salt spray testing projects have ranged from simple 4 hour tests to up to 2000 hours. Some of the testing has included electrically powered assemblies along with a wide variety of products such as military hardware, medical devices, kitchen utensils, fishing equipment, marine parts, pipe sections, engine components, and lamp assemblies to name a few.

A significant amount of salt spray testing involves the evaluation of coatings using standardized test panels. The paint/coating test panels can also be evaluated after exposure for "creep", blistering, rust, etc. using standardized ASTM and related specifications or specific customer performance requirements.

We operate 7 days a week and testing usually begins within hours of the receipt of test samples.
